Best Rune Tips

Mining is probably one of the most used skills in non members as it gives a decent income. It is also a very slow skill to train and also requires lots of repetitive clicking.

To start mining you will need a pickaxe, you get given a bronze pickaxe when you finish the tutorial.

Training at the begining isn't very productive money wise, but it gets better when you get higher don't worry. Always remember to use the best pickaxe you can and upgrade when you reach the next one.

Training Tips:

Level 1-15

Mine Copper and Tin ore until level 15, or you could mine rune essence if you would prefer runecrafting experience over smithing.

Level 15-30

Mine iron ore, you can choose to bank it or power mine it like alot of people do for fast mining experience.

Level 30-40

Mine iron and coal if you want to get smithing experience from steel bars. Or you can continue power mining iron if you like.

Level 40-60

Members can mine gems at the shilo village mine. This is decent experience if you have karmaja gloves 3, a charged glory and a fair amount of rings of dueling. Members can also power mine granite at 45 if they would like better experience then power mining iron. For non members continue with the iron and coal or power mining coal til 55 then switch to mith.

Level 60-85

You can now enter the mining guild in Falador, this guild has 5 mith rocks, and around 30 or so coal rocks. Great for super heating mith bars. You could also continue power mining granite or iron. At 70 you can mine the 3 adamant rocks in the dwarven mines through the north door in the mining guild.

Level 85+

You can now mine the highest ore in runescape, Runite. The runite ore are worth are 13k at the time of writing this guide. They are slow to mine though, so may be best using the other methods for mining if you are after experience.

Level 99

Congrats you have one of the hardest 99s in runescape this present time. You can buy a skill cape from the dwarf outside the mining guild for 99k.
